No purchase necessary
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. ENTRY IS FREE. A PURCHASE OR PREMIUM SUBSCRIPTION WILL NOT HELP YOU WIN AND DOES NOT AFFECT YOUR QUESTIONS, SCORE, TIMING, STANDING, OR CHANCE OF WINNING.
A LIGHTNING ROUND IS A CONTEST OF SKILL. PERFORMANCE ON KNOWLEDGE QUESTIONS DETERMINES THE RESULT. NO WINNER IS CHOSEN BY DRAWING, LOT, RANDOM SELECTION, OR ANOTHER METHOD OF CHANCE.
1. Agreement and event page
These standing Official Rules govern every Called It Lightning Round. Each scheduled Lightning Round also has an event page that states its exact contest period, time zone, eligible states, prize, supported retail value, question counts, answer window, qualifying standard, Final time, winning standard, tie procedure, verification deadline, and fulfillment details. The event page is incorporated into these Rules and controls those event-specific facts.
Selecting Start after the rules link is presented records your agreement to the exact Rules and event-page version for that Lightning Round. If you do not agree, do not enter.
2. Sponsor
JBX Huddle LLC, a Delaware limited liability company with its principal place of business in Texas, is the Sponsor and is solely responsible for the contest. Contact: team@calledit.deals or 281-305-9305.
Apple is not a sponsor of, responsible for, or involved in any Lightning Round. A featured retailer, product manufacturer, fulfillment provider, or prize source is not a sponsor unless the event page expressly identifies it as a prize provider. A prize provider does not replace JBX as Sponsor.
3. Scheduled contest period
Each Lightning Round is scheduled in advance. Its event page states when entry opens and closes and, where applicable, when the live Final begins. Sponsor's server clock is the official timekeeping device.
Sponsor may send an email or push reminder to members who requested that channel. A reminder is a convenience, not the legal method of entry or notice. Receiving a reminder earlier or later provides no additional time, entry, question, score, or other advantage.
4. Eligibility
Unless an event page lawfully states a higher requirement, entry is open to natural persons who, when entering:
- are at least 18 years old;
- are legal residents of and physically located in an eligible United States jurisdiction listed on the event page;
- have one Called It account in good standing registered in their own name; and
- complete the required location and device-integrity checks.
Employees, officers, members, managers, and contractors of Sponsor, and their immediate family and household members, may not enter or win. Sponsor does not enter or compete.
One person and one account per Lightning Round. Multiple accounts, entry for another person, account sharing, automation, and identity or location misrepresentation are prohibited. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
5. Free entry and equal treatment
During the contest period, open the Lightning Round in the Called It app, review these Rules and the event page, select Start, and complete the questions presented.
Free and Premium members receive the same questions in the same order, the same answer windows, the same scoring, and the same treatment. A subscription, purchase, referral, promotional credit, advertisement view, or engagement level does not improve or preserve an entry or result.
6. Format and objective scoring
The event page states the qualifier and Final format. Every entrant in the same stage receives the same multiple-choice questions in the same order. Each question has one correct answer fixed before entry opens. You must lock an answer within the stated answer window; an unanswered question is incorrect.
The event page states the qualifying standard. Entrants who satisfy it may advance to a scheduled Final. The Final winning standard is a perfect score unless the event page states another objective skill standard approved before opening.
Among entrants who meet the winning standard, authoritative server-recorded total answer time ranks performance as described on the event page. Time is measured from display of a question to lock of the answer and is rounded and banded as published so insignificant device or network differences do not decide the physical product prize.
If no entrant meets the winning standard, no prize is awarded. There is no consolation prize, partial award, rollover, or obligation to use the same product in another event.
7. Ties
No tie is resolved by chance. Entrants within the published tie band proceed to the event's skill-based sudden-death procedure using the same new questions, order, and timing. The event page states the packet size, limit, and any contingency session.
If the published skill procedure does not produce one eligible entrant, Sponsor will follow the event page's preannounced lawful resolution, which may include identical prizes for remaining tied entrants or an equal division where the nature of the prize permits. Sponsor will never use a coin flip, drawing, or random selection.
8. Question integrity
Before opening, Sponsor cryptographically commits to the ordered question sets, answer choices, correct answers, scoring, and schedule. Sponsor cannot change a live pack after seeing entries.
A confirmed defective question is removed or credited for every similarly affected entrant under the event page's uniform defect rule. If a defect could have changed qualification or the result and cannot be corrected equally, the event is void and rescheduled. Sponsor does not repair a defect for only one entrant.
Question content is confidential while an event is active. Capturing, publishing, sharing, or obtaining live questions or answers outside your own play is prohibited.
9. Fair play and device checks
Entry requires a current eligible-state check and device-integrity verification. You may allow Location Services or choose your current state; a chosen state must match Sponsor's independent network-location check. Entry may be refused when the eligible state cannot be established, signals conflict, or a proxy, VPN, relay, emulator, virtual machine, modified client, automation, or location-modification tool is detected.
During an active attempt, screenshot, screen recording, mirroring, screen capture, backgrounding, app switching, or loss of active focus makes the attempt ineligible as disclosed before play. A documented platform or service error may be appealed under Section 13.
You may not use a bot, script, macro, outside assistance, multiple accounts, shared credentials, extracted question content, collusion, interference, or a defect to obtain an advantage.
10. Prize
Each Lightning Round offers the exact physical product stated on its event page. The page states quantity, condition, description, and supported approximate retail value. A Lightning prize is not a gift card, retailer credit, cash award, or subscription benefit.
The prize is personal to the confirmed winner and is not transferable before delivery. No cash alternative is offered. If the exact product cannot be delivered, Sponsor may provide the same product from another authorized source or a new product of comparable category, function, condition, warranty, quality, and independently supported value equal to or greater than the stated value, where permitted by law and the event page.
The winner is responsible for costs not expressly included and for applicable federal, state, and local taxes. Sponsor may require tax information when applicable law requires reporting.
11. Provisional result and verification
Every result is provisional until eligibility and fair-play review is complete. Sponsor will notify a potential winner in the app and through available account contact information within the period stated on the event page.
The potential winner must respond and complete the stated identity, age, residency, and tax verification by the event deadline. Failure to respond, ineligibility, false information, or a material Rules violation forfeits the result. Sponsor may then consider the next eligible ranked entrant only if the event page says so and the same Rules apply.
Sponsor confirms the winner only after review. The app then records fulfillment of the physical product.
12. Publicity and winner information
Acceptance of a prize is not conditioned on a testimonial, endorsement, interview, or publicity release. Sponsor needs separate voluntary written permission to use a winner's name, image, voice, quote, or story for advertising, except for the minimum disclosure required by law.
Public standings use a temporary event call sign and do not display a participant's email, phone, precise location, membership tier, or stable account identifier. Winner-list information is available as required by law through the contact method on the event page.
13. Review and appeal
Sponsor may find an entry ineligible for a documented violation of these Rules. You may report a scoring, eligibility, technical, or platform issue within 24 hours after the result, or the longer period stated on the event page, by contacting team@calledit.deals. Sponsor will preserve the relevant event record, review the stated basis, and provide a written outcome.
Sponsor may void or reschedule an event where fraud, widespread technical failure, a material question defect, legal necessity, or another condition makes an equal and reliable result impossible. Sponsor will not cancel merely because participation, the outcome, or fulfillment cost is inconvenient.
14. Privacy
Sponsor uses account, eligibility, a selected state or precise location you choose to provide, device-integrity, application-focus, screen-capture, question, answer, timing, result, appeal, winner-verification, fulfillment, and required tax information to administer and protect a Lightning Round. The Called It Privacy Policy explains collection, use, disclosure, retention, and rights.
15. Liability and controlling law
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sponsor is not responsible for a device, operating system, carrier, network, or platform condition outside its control. Nothing in these Rules releases or limits a claim that law does not permit Sponsor to release or limit, including a claim involving personal injury, death, fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, statutory damages, privacy or security duties, or a non-waivable consumer right.
The governing-law, dispute-resolution, and arbitration provisions in the Called It Terms apply except where controlling contest law requires otherwise. These Rules control over general marketing copy for a Lightning Round.
16. Changes
Sponsor may update these standing Rules prospectively. A change does not apply to a Lightning Round that has already opened. The event page and Rules version accepted at entry remain the record for that event.
