These terms are incorporated into the Called It Terms of Use and Terms of Sale (the Terms) and use its defined words. Section 2.1 of the Terms (Controlling requirements and order of precedence) applies to every provision below. Where these terms and the Terms conflict as to a Feature described here, these terms control.
Nothing in this document waives a right or duty that controlling law or a mandatory applicable platform policy does not permit JBX to waive. Every exclusion, discretion, sole-remedy provision, and liability limit below operates only to the maximum extent those controlling requirements permit.

1. What this document covers
| Feature | What it is | Entry cost | |---|---|---| | Arena | A skill contest decided by trivia questions, in Open, Middle, and Vault tiers | Free for Open and Vault; Middle as stated in its Official Rules | | Lightning Round | A free contest of skill with a prize | Free | | Dutch Release | A deterministic paid Premium retailer-credit benefit. Not a contest and not a product sale by Called It | No separate claim charge; paid Premium required | | Skill Drop | A skill contest decided by a call at a sealed answer | Free call plus optional paid calls |
A Dutch Release is a paid Premium benefit. Called It features a product from an independent retailer and publishes a schedule under which the retailer-credit amount increases. The first eligible member whose valid claim is confirmed by the server receives the displayed retailer credit. Called It does not reserve or sell the featured product. A Dutch Release is not a contest, sweepstakes, drawing, wager, auction, or game.
Each Feature is available only where and when JBX enables its approved server-side release controls. Availability of one Feature creates no entitlement to another Feature.
2. Official Rules control each event
Each Arena event, Lightning Round, and Skill Drop is governed by Official Rules published before entry opens and linked from the event surface. The Official Rules state the sponsor, eligibility, entry method and any cost, the states in which the event is offered, the opening and closing times, the exact prize and its verified value, the winning standard, the tie-break procedure, whether the prize may go unawarded, and the dispute and appeal process.
The Official Rules for an event control over this document as to that event. Where the Official Rules are silent, this document applies. JBX will not change the material terms of an event after entry opens except to correct a manifest error, to comply with law, or as the Official Rules expressly permit, and any such change will be disclosed.
2.1 Separate assent before contest entry
Before you enter an Arena event or Skill Drop, Called It presents the event's complete, current Official Rules in the entry flow and records the accepted Rules version or digest, timestamp, account, event reference, and assent source through the stated entry action. For a Lightning Round, the complete Rules and event page are linked before entry and selecting Start records agreement to their exact version. If you do not agree to the Rules, do not enter.
A Dutch Release does not use contest Official Rules or a product checkout. Before a claim is submitted, Called It identifies the exact retailer and credit amount, links the Dutch Release Terms, and records the release, Terms version, account, and server-confirmed claim. Watching, waiting, or declining to claim creates no obligation.
3. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older, or the higher minimum age stated in the Official Rules for your state, and a legal resident of a state in which the event is offered. You must have a Called It account in good standing and satisfy any identity, age, or location verification the Official Rules require.
Employees, officers, members, and contractors of JBX, and their immediate family members and household members, may not enter, participate in, or win any Arena event, Lightning Round, or Skill Drop. JBX does not submit entries, calls, or answers in any contest, does not compete for any prize, and does not participate in any mechanic whose outcome is determined by participant inputs. Dutch Release eligibility is governed separately by the Dutch Release Terms.
One account and one person per entry. You may not enter through another person, permit another person to enter through your account, operate multiple accounts, or use an agent, script, bot, emulator, or automation of any kind.
4. Geography and location
Events are offered only in states JBX has affirmatively enabled. Entry may require a current device location check and may be refused where location cannot be established, where location signals are inconsistent, or where a proxy, VPN, relay, virtual machine, emulator, or location-modification tool is detected. An ambiguous or unverifiable location fails closed. Attempting to misrepresent your location is a material breach and voids any entry, result, and prize claim.
5. Purchases never create or improve a prize chance
No purchase, subscription, referral, engagement, promotional credit, Club Point, or other consideration awards, creates, improves, multiplies, accelerates, or preserves any contest entry, attempt, question, score, timing, standing, Vault Mark, or prize chance. Renaming an entry, attempt, ticket, token, or credit does not change this. The prize ledger and the commerce ledger are separate, and no balance, point, credit, or status converts between them in either direction.
Paid Premium is an eligibility requirement for the separate Dutch Release retailer-credit benefit. That membership rule does not affect any Lightning Round or other contest.
6. Integrity, review, disqualification, and appeal
Each event is server-authoritative. Results are provisional until integrity review completes.
JBX may void an entry, attempt, result, or prize claim, and may suspend or terminate participation, where it identifies automation, multiple or duplicate accounts, shared or transferred credentials, location misrepresentation, device or attestation tampering, exploitation of a defect, collusion, interference with another participant, harassment, or any other material breach of these terms or the Official Rules.
A disqualification requires a recorded rule basis, supporting evidence, and approval by a second reviewer. JBX is not required to disclose confidential fraud, security, or integrity detection methods.
Appeal. You may report a scoring, eligibility, technical, or platform issue within 24 hours after the event by the method stated in the Official Rules. JBX targets completion of ordinary integrity review within 48 hours and will state a longer period for a high-risk case in the Official Rules. JBX will provide a written outcome with the basis for the decision. This appeal right is specific to the Features in this document and applies notwithstanding Section 23 of the Terms; it does not limit any payment dispute, regulator complaint, arbitration, or court right.
Where an event is voided, JBX will not silently substitute a replacement winner. A voided event is rescheduled or cancelled under the contingency stated in the Official Rules.
7. Prizes
Prizes are new, authentic merchandise. The exact unit is owned, purchased, or contractually allocated before the event is announced. The advertised value is supported by independent market evidence, not by a manufacturer's suggested price alone.
There is no cash substitution and no cash alternative. If the exact unit cannot be delivered, JBX will supply the same item from another authorized source or, failing that, substitute new merchandise of comparable category, function, condition, warranty, and quality with independently verified fair market value equal to or greater than the advertised value. JBX will not substitute because its margin changed, a cheaper item became available, or demand shifted.
Prizes are personal to the winner, are not transferable, and may not be sold, assigned, or exchanged before delivery.
A prize may go unawarded. The winning standard in several Features requires a perfect result. Where no participant meets the standard, no prize is awarded, there is no rollover, no jackpot growth, no partial award, and no obligation to use the same item in a later event. The event surface and every advertisement discloses this before entry.
Taxes. Prizes are taxable income to the winner at fair market value. JBX will report prize awards as required by law and may require a completed Form W-9 and identity verification before award. You are responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes on a prize.
8. Winner identity and publicity
Public contest identity is a temporary server-generated call sign that rotates each event and cannot be chosen by participants. Public standings do not display your legal name, photograph, stable handle, email, phone, city, precise location, membership tenure, or purchase tier.
Before award, JBX will verify winner identity and may require documentation for eligibility and tax purposes.
Prize acceptance is not conditioned on a testimonial, review, interview, endorsement, or broader publicity consent. Use of your real name, image, voice, quote, location, or personal story requires your separate written, voluntary release. Where a state requires a winner list or disclosure that overrides the call-sign default, the event surface will state the minimum legally required disclosure before you enter.
9. Arena
9.1 Structure
An Arena event has an all-day qualifier and a live Final at a scheduled time. The qualifier assigns a set of questions from a published blueprint, without participant or staff discretion. The Final requires a perfect score at the question count stated in the Official Rules.
Answers are subject to a per-question time limit stated before play. A timeout is an incorrect answer. The app confirms only that an answer is locked and does not reveal correctness while the qualifier is open.
9.2 Tie-breaks — no random resolution
No prize in any Arena event is decided by a drawing, coin flip, random selection, or any chance mechanism. Where more than one participant achieves a perfect Final, tied participants proceed to sudden death using new questions identical for every tied finalist, administered in packets. If sudden death does not resolve to a single finalist within the question limit stated in the Official Rules, the event is suspended and resumes at the published contingency time with only the tied finalists.
Aggregate response times are rounded and banded as stated in the Official Rules so that insignificant device, network, or input differences do not decide a prize.
9.3 Defective questions
A confirmed defective qualifier question is credited as correct to every affected participant and is never used to deny qualification. A confirmed defective Final question is removed for every finalist before scoring and the perfect standard adjusts to the count of valid questions. Where more than one live question is defective, or where a defect could have changed who advanced, the event is voided and rescheduled.
9.4 Fair-play conditions during play
During an active qualifier, readiness check, Final, or sudden-death round, the following make an attempt ineligible: a screenshot event, active screen recording, mirroring, or capture, and backgrounding, app switching, or loss of active focus. You receive a warning before play begins. An appeal is available only for a documented platform or service error.
These conditions require JBX to detect capture and focus events on your device during play. Section 12 and the Privacy Policy describe that collection.
9.5 Vault Marks
A Vault Mark is earned only by a verified perfect score in a free Open Final. Marks expire as stated in the Official Rules, are nontransferable, have no cash or other value, cannot be bought, and cannot be received through a subscription, points, referral, advertisement, or purchase. A revoked or fraudulent result revokes the related Mark.
9.6 Pre-commitment
Before a qualifier opens, JBX publishes a cryptographic commitment to the ordered Final question set, choices, answers, and schedule. After review closes, JBX can reveal the retired content and the commitment secret so that an auditor can verify JBX did not modify the Final after seeing the field. This is an integrity measure. It does not modify any other term.
10. Lightning Round
A Lightning Round is a scheduled free contest of skill for an exact physical product and has no entry cost. Its Official Rules and event page state the entry method, entry window, questions, objective winning standard, skill-based tie procedure, and prize. Free and Premium members receive the same questions, order, timing, scoring, and treatment. The approved question pack is fixed before entry opens, and the questions are retired after use. A participant reviews the linked Rules and event page before selecting Start, which records agreement to that exact version.
11. Dutch Release
11.1 Paid Premium eligibility
A Dutch Release is available only to accounts with an active, successfully paid Premium subscription in the eligibility snapshot taken when the release opens. A free trial is not eligible. Joining Premium or converting from a trial after opening applies only to future releases.
11.2 The published credit schedule
Before opening, JBX approves the featured product, independent retailer, verified product price, evidence time, direct product link, release window, and every retailer-credit step. The credit increases only at the stated times. The maximum credit is the lower of 50% of the verified product price, rounded down to the nearest cent, or 49,999 cents ($499.99). JBX does not change an approved schedule after opening.
11.3 The first valid claim
The first eligible member whose valid claim is committed by the server receives the retailer and credit amount displayed at that server time. Device clocks, animations, refresh timing, and notification delivery do not decide the claim. Once committed, the release changes to Claimed for everyone. Called It issues exactly one retailer credit for the release and safely reconciles delivery without reopening or duplicating the claim.
11.4 The featured product and retailer credit
The featured product is sold by the independent retailer, not Called It. It is not reserved, held, or sold through the release. The direct product link is not an affiliate link, and Called It receives no affiliate commission from that link or the credit's use. Price, availability, tax, shipping, returns, warranty, and checkout terms are controlled by the retailer.
The claimed stored-value credit is for the exact retailer and face value shown in the app. It may be used wherever and for whatever eligible purchase the retailer and issuer permit; it is not locked to the featured product. The Dutch Release Terms and the retailer's and issuer's terms govern issuance and use.
11.5 If nobody claims
If no eligible member claims before closing, the release and its displayed pricing disappear. The product does not become a Called It listing, a public sale, a floor-price offer, or another purchase opportunity through that release.
12. Information collected for these Features
Contest participation requires collection beyond ordinary account and commerce data, including precise device geolocation at entry and immediately before a live Final; device integrity and attestation signals; screen-capture, recording, and application-focus events during play; per-question timing at millisecond resolution; and, for winners, identity documentation and a taxpayer identification number. A Dutch Release uses the paid Premium eligibility snapshot, release and claim records, device-integrity signals, and retailer-credit issuance and delivery records described in the Privacy Policy; it does not require the Lightning Round precise-location, question, answer, timing, capture, or tax-verification data merely to claim. The Privacy Policy describes these categories, their purposes, choices, and retention.
You cannot participate in a Feature that requires a check without permitting that check. You may decline and not participate.
13. Prohibited conduct
In addition to Section 18 of the Terms, you may not: use a bot, script, macro, emulator, virtual machine, modified client, or automation to enter or play; operate or benefit from more than one account; buy, sell, transfer, rent, or share an account, entry, attempt, Mark, or result; misrepresent your identity, age, or location; exploit a defect rather than report it; collude with, interfere with, or impersonate another participant; reverse engineer, extract, or republish question content; or attempt to influence an outcome by any means other than your own play.
Question content is confidential. Disclosing, capturing, or republishing live question content is a material breach.
14. Disclaimers and limits specific to these Features
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW AND SUBJECT TO SECTION 2.1 OF THE TERMS, JBX DOES NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR TIMELY OPERATION OF ANY FEATURE, AND IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DEVICE, OPERATING SYSTEM, NETWORK, CARRIER, OR PLATFORM CONDITIONS OUTSIDE ITS CONTROL THAT AFFECT YOUR ABILITY TO PARTICIPATE.
Where a technical failure attributable to JBX prevents an event from running fairly, the event is voided and rescheduled, or the entry restored — that is the remedy. Where an event is cancelled after a paid entry, the paid amount is refunded to the original tender. Sections 20 and 21 of the Terms apply to any other claim that can lawfully be limited.
Nothing in this Section excludes liability for personal injury, death, fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, statutory damages, privacy or security duties, or any non-waivable consumer right.
15. Changes
JBX may update this document prospectively. A change does not apply to a contest that has already opened for entry, an entry already submitted, or a Dutch Release that has already opened. The current version and effective date appear at the top. Material changes receive the notice, and where required the renewed assent, that law requires.
